Adjustment Interval
The time between interest rate changes in the interest rate for an adjustable-rate mortgage or ARM. Typically, adjustment rate intervals are within six months, and then one, three, five and seven year interest rate adjustments.
Usually, there will be an upwards adjustment during the first two intervals due to the low teaser rates that most ARM's start out with.
