Arbitration
Similar to mediation. A process in which both parties to a dispute agree to try to resolve the dispute by going through the arbitration process as a possible alternative to a costly and time-consuming lawsuite.
A process whereby a grievance or contract dispute is referred to an impartial arbitrator or a panel of arbitrators so that the parties involved might arrive at a mutually acceptable solution.
