Base Rent
A set amount of rent which is used as the minimum rent in a lease with some provisions for increasing that rent over the term of the lease.
For example, the rent might be set at $1,500/month, with provisions for a $100 increase in the first year and a $150 increase in the second year. There may also be rent increase provisions tied to late payments.
