Opportunity Cost

Cost of passing up an opportunity.

May also be thought of as the increase in cost to purchase that opportunity at a future date. For example, if a real estate investment property costs $200,000 and is passed on, the same property might cost $225,000 in 6 years. Thus, the opportunity cost would be $25,000.
